When we are experiencing emotional or psychological difficulties, we can end up in the same place emotionally again and again – repeating patterns and behaviours. If we feel depressed or anxious, we may find it difficult to make sense of, and cope with our thoughts and feelings. 

Psychotherapy helps us understand our inner world.  It provides psychological information and support to explore the life experiences that have shaped us, helping us to understand ourselves, and opening our awareness to changes that may help us. 

For over 20 years I have been working therapeutically with adults, providing a respectful and safe place to support healing from the many difficulties we can experience throughout our lives.  These include trauma, abuse, loss and bereavement. depression, anxiety, panic, phobias, PTSD, and work and relationships difficulties. 

Over the years, I have undertaken a wide range of psychological / psychotherapeutic studies and I use a variety of therapeutic and psychological approaches. These include, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, EMDR, Gestalt and Bodywork – integrating and combining these to meet each persons’ individual needs.

My practice is suitable for adults 20 years and over.

My qualifications include:

  • MSc Psychotherapy 
  • MSc in Clinical Supervision 
  • Specialist Diploma in Developmental Trauma
  • Dip. Counselling & Psychotherapy
  • Dip. Relational Gestalt
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) Levels 1 and 2
  • Dip. Bodywork
  • Dip in CBT

Accreditation

I am accredited as a Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor with the Irish Association of Humanistic & Integrated Psychotherapy (IAHIP), Irish Council of Psychotherapy (ICP), Irish Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP) and European Association of Psychotherapy (ECP). I am also a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development. I also provide Clinical Supervision to psychotherapists / psychologists.
